Euroseeds Congress 2026

Following last year’s edition in Edinburgh, which brought together more than 1,300 participants, Euroseeds 2026 moves to Valencia — a region known for its horticultural sector and its research and innovation ecosystem. The Congress will cover the policy and regulatory developments shaping the seed sector, including the new European framework on genomic techniques, the revision of legislation on plant reproductive material, and the ongoing evaluation of the plant variety rights system. The programme also addresses international trade, Horizon Europe research opportunities, and the future Common Agricultural Policy, alongside the InnovAction Stage and the NextGen Forum.

Seed breeding runs on long R&D cycles — a variety decision made today can take 5 to 10 years to pay off.
