Valona Intelligence named in The Forrester Wave™: Market and Competitive Intelligence Platforms, Q3 2026
Valona Intelligence has been named in The Forrester Wave™: Market and Competitive Intelligence Platforms, Q3 2026. We reflect on the evolving CMI market and how we’re building Valona for more proactive, AI-enabled intelligence.
We’re proud of the result. This follows Valona’s recognition as a Leader in Gartner’s® Magic Quadrant™ for Competitive and Market Intelligence Platforms, published in April 2026.
Built for intelligence in complex industries
Industry depth is one of Valona’s core strengths. We have deliberately built our intelligence coverage and capabilities around complex industries, particularly manufacturing. In industrial markets, the signals that matter are spread across trade flows, capacity expansions, financial performance, regulation, technologies, specialist industry sources, and news. Making sense of them requires both breadth of evidence and an understanding of the industry context.
That is why we are continuing to bring more types of intelligence together in Valona. Alongside continuously monitored qualitative information, we are expanding the quantitative data available for areas such as company financials, earnings intelligence, trade flows and market development. The aim is to help teams connect what companies are saying and doing with the underlying shifts in markets and industries.
Competitive and market intelligence is becoming more strategic
AI is changing how organizations research, analyze and use external information. As it becomes easier for people across the business to find information and generate analysis, intelligence is increasingly expected to be available when decisions are being made.
As more of this work happens through AI, the quality of the information feeding it becomes critical. Enterprises are building AI assistants and agents, and the quality of their outputs depends on the sources, data and context they can access.
For CMI and strategy teams, this creates a broader role: ensuring that both people and AI systems across the organization have access to reliable intelligence and the industry context they need, while putting more of their expertise toward foresight and what comes next.
Taking Valona’s strengths further
Valona’s focus is on AI that takes on more of the demanding and recurring intelligence work. We’re building deep research and agentic capabilities to tackle complex CMI questions and automate more of the monitoring, research, curation and analysis involved. This will help teams stay on top of market developments without having to initiate every piece of research or analysis themselves.
We’re also making Valona intelligence available beyond our own platform. Our MCP server already enables customers to access Valona intelligence through Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools. As enterprises put AI assistants and agents into everyday use, we see a clear role for Valona as the trusted external intelligence layer behind them.
“The direction of the market reinforces what we’re building with Valona,” says Stuart Reynish, Chief Product Officer at Valona Intelligence. “It’s not enough to give people another place to search for information or ask AI a question. The platform needs to take on more of the intelligence work: connecting and analyzing signals across qualitative and quantitative data, producing decision-ready outputs, and bringing that intelligence into the AI ecosystems customers already use. That’s where we’re taking Valona.”
Expertise alongside the technology
Software and data on their own are not enough. Our analysts and experts provide hands-on support and strategic advisory with domain expertise, helping teams focus on the right questions, interpret developments in context and turn analysis into action.
That combination of purpose-built technology and industry expertise is deliberate, and we’re continuing to strengthen both.
The bar for CMI platforms is rising
There is substantial investment and innovation across the CMI market, and we welcome it. Competition is driving the category forward and reflects the growing importance of competitive and market intelligence as an enterprise capability.
For Valona, the priority stays clear: build on our strengths in complex industries while making intelligence more proactive and more deeply embedded in how organizations make decisions.
